Flagstaff Marine League Charities, an Arizona not-for-profit charitable corporation organized for the purpose of supporting charities including those organized to assist children of Northern Arizona and local members of the U. S. Armed Forces. In accordance with the mission statement, Marine League Charities (MCL), in addition to benefiting Northern Arizona children and local members of the Armed Forces, supports and funds the following five local charities:
Flagstaff Toys for Tots collects, purchases and distributes toys and gifts to the needy children of Northern Arizona during the Holiday season.
Collection boxes are located in businesses throughout the area. Cash donations are also accepted and provide greater flexibility for the Toys for Tots program.
The Marine League Charities also provides funding for activities for wounded Marines and for relatives and friends visiting wounded Arizona Marines during their hospitalization and convalescence at the various Naval Hospitals and Wounded Marine Barracks throughout the country. This program also provides funds for activities and for relatives and friends visiting members of the other U.S. Armed Forces as funding permits.
The Flagstaff Youth Program is designed to provide financial support to local youth under the age of 18 years. Primary focus is given to those situations where opportunity for development in academics, arts, and sports would otherwise be denied. Applications for individuals with sponsors and groups are considered.
This program funds and supports local Marines and former active active duty Marines and their families that are in need.
This is a scholarship program to assist returning Marines with expenses for post-high school education at Coconino Community College.
